BUCKS TO PLAY PRESEASON GAME IN GREEN BAY

Team returns to the Resch Center on October 10th to take on the Chicago Bulls

The Milwaukee Bucks will play a preseason home game at the Resch Center in Green Bay, WI, the team announced today.  The Bucks will square off against the Chicago Bulls on Saturday, October 10, 2009, at 7:30 p.m.

Tickets for the game will go on sale Wednesday, August 12 at the Resch Center.  The Bucks complete 2009 Preseason Schedule will be announced later this week.

The game will give fans in Green Bay their first chance to see Bucks draft picks Brandon Jennings (1st round, 10th overall) and Jodie Meeks (2nd round, 41st overall), along with the rest of Milwaukee’s roster, including last year’s draft picks Joe Alexander and Luc Richard Mbah a Moute, and veterans Michael Redd and Andrew Bogut.  The squad will face a Chicago Bulls team led by 2009 NBA Rookie of the Year Derrick Rose that nearly advanced to the second round of the 2009 NBA Playoffs.

Milwaukee did not play a game in Green Bay during the 2008 preseason.  Prior to that, the team made appearances at the Resch Center in four consecutive Octobers from 2004 to 2007, with their last contest coming on October 16, 2007 against the Denver Nuggets.

BUCKS ANNOUNCE 2009-10 REGULAR SEASON SCHEDULE

**Home opener Saturday, October 31 vs. Detroit at 7:30 p.m.**

**Team opens season on road October 30 at Philadelphia**

The Milwaukee Bucks open the home portion of their 42nd NBA season on Saturday, October 31 at 7:30 p.m. against their Central Division rivals, Detroit, the team announced today in conjunction with the release of the 2009-10 NBA regular season schedule. The home opener is the first of 22 weekend home games on the schedule for 2009-10. The Bucks start the season on the road at Philadelphia on Friday, October 30 as they open with a road/home back-to-back set.

Bucks fans can get a good, early look at the 2009-10 club as they have a season-high six-game home stand that runs from November 7-20 and brings New York, Denver, Golden State, Dallas, New Jersey and Charlotte to town.  The Eastern Conference Champion Orlando Magic make their lone visit of the season during Thanksgiving Weekend, Saturday, November 28, while the NBA Champion L.A. Lakers come to town on Wednesday, December 16. Central Division foes LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers are in Milwaukee on Sunday, December 6 (2:00 p.m.), and Saturday, March 6.

Milwaukee will host two long home stands in March. The first is a four-game set from March 6-14 featuring Clevevland, Boston, Utah and Indiana. The second home stand is the second-longest of the season at five games. Atlanta, Philadelphia, Miami, Memphis and the L.A. Clippers will all visit the Bradley Center in that string.

The 2009-10 schedule features five road trips of three or more games, with the first coming November 21-27 with Milwaukee traveling to Memphis, San Antonio, New Orleans and Oklahoma City. The longest road swing of the season comes in January where a six-game trip sends the team to the L.A. Lakers, Phoenix, Portland, Golden State, Utah and Houston from January 10-18. The remaining three-game trips are February 1-5 (Miami, Orlando and New York), February 25-28 (Indiana, Miami and Atlanta) and March 17-20 (L.A. Clippers, Sacramento and Denver).

Once again this season, weekday home games will start at 7:00 p.m. and all but one of the Friday/Saturday games will start at 7:30 p.m. The Saturday, November 28 Magic-Bucks home game will begin at 8:00 p.m.  Milwaukee’s three Sunday home games will be played on December 6 vs. Cleveland at 2:00 p.m., March 14 vs. Indiana at 12:00 p.m. and March 28 vs. Memphis at 2:00 p.m.
